Agriculture and organic farming do not involve the use of pesticides, antibiotics and synthetic hormones. Choosing to eat organic food reduces our exposure to these substances which are the cause of many food intolerances.
Organic foods are richer in nutrients, contain a greater amount of vitamin C, antioxidants, fiber and minerals and are free of neurotoxins found in some pesticides.
Non-use of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and chemical fertilizers in organic farming can help to safeguard the environment (groundwater, wildlife habitat, etc..) and the health of farmers. This encourages biodiversity of species which with intensive agriculture and farming are currently in danger of disappearing.
Eating organic food helps us to re-educate our taste: organic products, in fact, do not contain colourings or flavour enhancers or artificial additives often used by the industry to lead us to develop “addiction” to certain products.
